Nail Trends Fall/Winter 2010-11

 I spent my day mastering the nail trend of the moment, a half-moon mani. It gets its name because the nails are completely polished, except for the lighter, half-moon shape at the base of your fingernails. Those areas are left bare, creating a clean, cool silhouette that is so 1940s. (No surprise, Dita Von Teese is rarely spotted without the look.)
Nude shades held court at many of the shows, including Marc by Marc, Catherine Malandrino, Ruffian and Thakoon.

In keeping with the ladylike atmosphere of the shows, nails also took on a grown-up look. Nude colours that mirrored the skin appeared at Dior, alongside the new 'loval' shape.

 Neverthless, we can't overlook the trends for Fall/Winter 2010-11 , presented by Essie!

 

Lanvin for H&M- The Dream

After Karl Lagerfeld, Sonia Rykiel, Stella McCartney, Jimmy Choo , the most exciting collaboration between Lanvin and H&M has been confirmed. Designed by the label's artistic director Alber Elbaz, and head of menswear Lucas Ossendrijver. According to WWD, Lanvin for H&M will debut in 200 stores on November 23 and there will be both men’s and women's lines. Prices will be similar to those of H&M’s previous designer collaborations and WWD also stated that the line will “appeal to all ages and sizes” and include clothing, jewelry, handbags, shoes, accessories and even makeup.

The Athens Xclusive Designers Week, the international fashion week in Athens, making the eighth event, from 23 to 26 October at "Sunedriako Kedro tou Megarou Ethnikis Asfalistikis" presenting the proposals of Greek and international designers for Spring / Summer 2011. First time the historical fashion house Guy Laroche will be hosted to Athens!
