Pamela Love not only a jewelry designer ,also a drummer!....She's the unique designer who appeals to indie fashion bloggers and the pages of Vogue. Her talon cuffs are the stuff of getting noticed, and with her long curly hair and bohemian urban style, the designer herself has done just the same.
Her personal style is a blend of Seventies' hippie style and Nineties' grunge. A little masculine, a little feminine,rather creative for sure. She studied film direction and design but not worked on this. She found out she was attracted by jewelry and starting designing : "I didn't study jewelry design at school, so I had to apprentice and learn through experimentation. As soon as I realized that what I was doing could also be sold, I gave it a try."
She established her line at 2006. Her jewelry are all produced in-house and is often inspired by animals and nature.Love who created a cult following out of daggers, talon cuffs and bird skulls showcased a new collection that was less about mimicking real-life macabre shapes and more about shaping metal into exotic and armor-like pieces. The larger portion of her collection featured dusky copper and silver metals melded into bulbous bracelets and necklaces.The designer also showed wide spike-adorned cuffs, sharply pointed rings and moon-shaped neck pieces that recalled African breastplate armor. One of the boldest pieces included a large bangle with two five-point anarchic or Wiccan stars crafted into the frame, measuring about 10 inches in diameter.Love herself credited astrological lunar cycles as one of her sources of inspiration - little surprise that it made for such a stellar collection.
